vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other
appliance.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS:
Open a window.
Do not try to light any appliance.
Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use
any phone in your building.
Immediately call your gas supplier from
neighbor’s phone. Follow gas supplier’s
instructions.
If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the
re department.

IMPORTANT: Read these instructions carefully before
starting installation of your log set.
IMPORTANT: To comply with certifi cation, building code acceptances, and insurance requirements for
safe operation and proper performance, ONLY Peterson parts, controls, valves, remotes,
and accessories must be used with this gas log set. Use of any other products which are
not designed, tested, and certifi ed for use with Peterson vent-free gas log sets is strictly and
absolutely prohibited.
This appliance is only for use with the type
of gas indicated on the rating plate.
This is a vent-free gas-fi red heater. It uses air (oxygen)
from the room in which it is installed. Provisions for
adequate combustion and ventilation air must be
provided. Refer to section entitled VENTILATION AND
CONFINED SPACE INFORMATION.
This appliance is designed as an “attended appliance.
Adults must be present when the unit is operating. Do
not leave this unit burning when unattended or while
anyone is sleeping.
Installation/service MUST be performed by an NFI
Certifi ed or other qualifi ed, professional installer or
service agency who is familiar with Important Safety
Information applicable to vent-free gas log heaters, and
with current provisions of ANSI 223.1/NFPA54.
This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket,
permanently located, manufactured (mobile) home,
where not prohibited by local codes.
This appliance is only for use with the type of gas
indicated on the rating plate. This appliance is not
convertible for use with other gases.
Installation and service must be performed by a
qualifi ed, professional installer, service agency,
or the gas supplier.
INSTALLER: Leave these instructions with consumer.
CONSUMER: Retain for future reference.
